Numerical Simulation of a Two-Phase Flow with Low Permeability and a Start-Up Pressure Gradient

A new numerical model for low-permeability reservoirs is developed. The incorporates the nonlinear characteristics of oil-water two-phase flows while taking into account initiation pressure gradient. Related solutions are obtained using a finite difference method. correctness method demonstrated two-dimensional inhomogeneous low permeability example. Then, differences in cumulative oil and water production investigated different starting saturations. It shown that when initial saturation grows, content block continues to rise gradually decreases.
